
Kick Space Technologies is a company established with the background of technology and knowledge from Kyushu Institute of Technology, which possesses world-leading development achievements in micro-satellites. The company specializes in designing, manufacturing, and testing micro-satellites. Among micro-satellites, they develop CubeSats, which use a palm-sized 10cm × 10cm × 10cm cube as the basic unit (1U), and provide solutions that can accommodate various applications such as Earth observation, communication missions, and scientific observations.

Based on our development achievements in micro-satellites at Kyushu Institute of Technology, we provide comprehensive support from mission planning through satellite design, testing, and operations for micro-satellites. Our company employs engineers with expertise in developing mission equipment such as optical systems and sensors, enabling us to provide support for the design, development, and testing of mission equipment.

Received a Bachelor's degree from the Department of Space Systems Engineering, School of Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, researching communication systems for micro-satellites. During university, participated in the development of the micro-satellite astronomy satellite "VERTECS" project, while also being involved in business development during the founding stage of Tohoku University startup Elevation Space and investment operations for seed-stage startups at the independent venture capital firm East Ventures. After graduation, worked as a researcher at the same university, handling frequency coordination for micro-satellites. Founded Kick Space Technologies Inc. in July 2025.

Obtained a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the Graduate School of Science, University of Tokyo. Currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Space Systems Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology. Specializes in optical and infrared astronomy, working on the observation and analysis of cosmic background radiation using astronomical satellites and sounding rockets. As the principal investigator of the micro-satellite astronomy satellite "VERTECS" project, he is also focused on the development and application of cutting-edge space observation technologies.
